Farnaz’s Fight With Cancer

For those of you who know Farnaz, you know that she is kind, caring and patient. When you look at her you would never know that since she was a little girl she has had to face health issues. You wouldn’t know that because she has always been one to keep her pains and struggles to herself. She doesn’t ever want others to have to worry about her or go out of their way to help her.

When she was five years old she suffered from fatigue and very high fevers. After seeing many specialists, she finally went to the UK and was diagnosed with Wilson’s disease.

Wilson’s disease is a rare inherited disorder that causes copper to accumulate in the liver, brain and other organs. She has lived almost all of her life taking daily medications to try to reduce or control the amount of copper that accumulates in her body.
