Co-presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and the American Cinematheque

Discover the best of foreign-language cinema during our week of special screenings, December 29, 2019 – January 3, 2020, at the Aero Theatre. Then join us for a FREE panel discussion with the filmmakers of the five nominated films, at the Egyptian Theatre on Saturday, January 4.

This year’s nominees are PAIN AND GLORY (Spain), THE FAREWELL (USA), LES MISÉRABLES (France), PORTRAIT OF A LADY ON FIRE (France) and PARASITE (South Korea). Participating in the panel discussion are filmmakers: Pedro Almodóvar (PAIN AND GLORY), Bong Joon Ho (PARASITE), Ladj Ly (LES MISÉRABLES), Céline Sciamma (PORTRAIT OF A LADY ON FIRE) and Lulu Wang (THE FAREWELL).
