Dear Patrons,
After two years of postponements, Vida Flamenca is excited to share details for our revised ‘XIª ‘CUMBRE FLAMENCA’ FESTIVAL originally scheduled for June of 2020 and 2021. To accommodate the expanded tour obligations of dancer Antonio Molina ‘El Choro’ our festival is now one night only, Sunday, June 26, 2022, at 6:30pm at the exquisite Eli & Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica.
The lineup has changed but the talent has not! The Huelva-born superstar ‘El Choro’ brings with him the passionate singing of three cantaores Jesús Corbacho (Huelva), Miguel Rosendo (Cádiz), and Ismael Fernández, (Sevilla) along with the electrifying guitarist Juani de la Isla, (San Fernando, Cádiz). Also performing is the critically acclaimed Barcelona-born flamenco dancer, Sonia Olla, hailed by The New York Times as “a furnace of earthy sensuality.” Additionally, joining this exciting evening are members of the celebrated Zermeño Dance Academy from Santa Barbara.
Handed down from generation to generation, flamenco incorporates historic dance and music traditions expressing a way of life shaped by a multitude of cultural and regional influences including a Roma migration embracing Northern India, Sephardic and Moorish roots, Gitanos (Romany people) of Spain and Andalusian regions. In 2010, UNESCO declared flamenco a Masterpiece of the Intangible Heritage of Humanity. Vida Flamenca is honored to present our highly anticipated ‘Cumbre Flamenca’ festival for this unique, cultural tradition of Spain in the heart of Santa Monica!
Stay safe and with our warmest regards, we thank you!

Estimados Patrones,
Esperamos verle pronto.
Saludos cordiales de
Beth Nesbitt
