BAILARÍN EMILIO OCHANDO// BNE, NUEVO BALLET ESPAÑOL, AIDA GÓMEZ Y BALLET NACIONAL DE CUBA

A phenom from the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza, Emilio has soloed with Ballet Nacional de España, Nuevo Ballet Español (Rojas Y Rodríguez), Aida Gómez and Ballet Nacional de Cuba.

EMILIO OCHANDO

Emilio Ochando was born in Valencia in 1984, and began his dance training at the age of 9.  At 12 years old, he collaborated with the Spain’s National Ballet, and at 16 he moved to Madrid to continue studying as a professional dancer, while completing his training at Madrid’s Real Conservatory for professionals.

He went on to join such companies as those of Domingo Ortega, Inma Ortega, Nuevo Ballet Español (Rojas y Rodríguez) and Aída Gómez in the corps de ballet as well as soloist, and also began dancing in various tablaos, touring nationally and internationally.

In his professional activities he is valued as a dancer, but also as a choreographer, having formed his own company three years ago with shows such as Ida y Vuelta Escuela Bolera, 3DEUNO and now his third work, TINEVO, also creating choreographies for the newly arrived elite such as Rafael Aguilar, while at the same time offering workshops and masterclasses throughout the world, in the U.S., Canada, London, Spain and the rest of Europe.

His career includes prestigious prizes such as:
4th prize in classical dance at the National Dance Contest held in Valencia.

~ 2nd prize for new creators in the city of Alcalá de Henares (Madrid).

~ 2nd prize for solo choreography at the National Spanish Dance and Flamenco Contest (Madrid).

~ 1st prize at the International Competition of Spanish and Flamenco Dance in the city of Almeria.

~ 1st prize TALENTMADRID2016 Teatro del Canal, and a prize in the category of dance at the TALENTMADRID contest 2016 Teatro del Canal.

~ 1° prize for group choreography at the National Spanish Dance and Flamenco contest (Madrid) and at the same competition, prizes such as commissioned choreographies for Carlota Santana Nueva York and the higher conservatory Maria de Avila.

He is currently immersed in solo projects for national and international companies as guest artist, and is carrying out the third project with his own company, EmiliOchandoYCia, with the show TINEVO.
