Luis Moneo is full of expressive possibilities that has no equal. He belongs to a genealogy that leaves a mark, gives weight to the message with talent from the cradle. He is from La Plazuela, from the Moneo and the Laras, of his father Juan and his mother Mena.

He dominates in the Taranto and Cartagenera, and in the Solea – the cante par excellence of his repertoire – in a wide register and variety, without losing sight of the deepening of nuances of the Seguiriya that ends in the style of Manué.

Luis is a treasure for the legacy. The singer holds popular lyrics that are heard less and less and also performs them with a neatness and with a forcefulness of special brilliance, which is why he is and will be an invaluable reference. He is at his best at this moment of his career and what flamenco needs.

ECOS DEL PUEBLO

‘Echoes of the village’ is a handful of hot earth between the fingers, an ancient wound singing in the southern gorges. José Francisco López does not write lyrics: he sows memory in the voice of centuries. In the living pages of Echoes of the people resounds the wound and the flower of song, the voice of the jonda earth that in each verse lifts its flight. Echoes of the people is, at last, an altar of humble words, where the everyday becomes sacred. It is a book that sings, and when singing, it resists. PROVINCIA DE SEVILLA

El Circuito Andaluz de Peñas 2025, incluido en la marca Andalucía·flamenco del Instituto Andaluz del Flamenco, se desarrolla en la provincia de Sevilla entre el 7 de septiembre y el 30 de noviembre y rinde homenaje a Francisco Moreno Galván, en el centenario de su nacimiento.

Esta programación sevillana contará con un total de 55 actuaciones, siendo 48 de cante, 3 de baile y otras 4 de guitarra, en otras tantas peñas flamencas de estos 41 municipios: Albaida del Aljarafe, Alcalá de Guadaíra, Aznalcóllar, Burguillos, Carmona, Castillo de las Guardas, Cazalla de la Sierra, Coria del Río, Dos Hermanas, Écija, El Arahal, El Coronil, El Saucejo, El Viso del Alcor, Fuentes de Andalucía, Gelves, Guillena, Herrera, Isla Mayor, La Algaba, La Luisiana, La Puebla de Cazalla, Las Cabezas de San Juan, Lora del Río, Los Palacios y Villafranca, Mairena del Alcor, Mairena del Aljarafe, Marchena, Martín de la Jara, Montellano, Morón de la Frontera, Olivares, Osuna, Paradas, Pedrera, Sanlúcar La Mayor, Santiponce, Sevilla, Utrera, Valencina de la Concepción y Villanueva de San Juan. Se calcula que participarán, como mínimo, unos 109 artistas.
