Xiª Festival: ‘Cumbre Flamenca’ 2022 — an astonishing success

Vida Flamenca’s powerful production, Cumbre Flamenca 2022, held this past June 26, was exquisite. Flamenco artists Antonio Molina ‘El Choro’ and Sonia Olla performed alongside singers Jesús Corbacho, Miguel Rosendo, and Ismaél Fernandez accompanied by guitarist Juani de la Isla. The Zeremeño Dance Academy of Santa Barbara mesmerized the audience with artful performances. 

he event’s preshow VIP experience was spectacular — abundant tapas and sumptuous paellas by Chef Roger. X. Balladares of Savory Roads Catering.

Here, I interview the one-and-only Beth Nesbitt, director of Vida Flamenca. Nesbitt brings major Flamenca artists from Spain and provides a stage for L.A.’s flamenco scene, including dance academies like Zermeño.
