Como cada año, dentro de la colaboración que la UGR y la Corrala de Santiago mantienen con el Festival Internacional de la Guitarra, se programa en el patio un concierto de guitarra flamenca, que este año correrá a cargo de Israel Gómez.
Su padre, el maestro Jorge Gómez, lo inició a los nueve años en los estudios de guitarra flamenca, Con 15 obtuvo el primer premio del concurso jóvenes intérpretes de Granada, y con 16 el segundo premio a nivel nacional de la peña flamenca de Jaén. Se trata de un guitarrista que cuenta, entre otros, con el primer premio a nivel nacional del certamen de Guitarra Flamenca de Sevilla, y que ha acompañado al cante a artistas de la talla de Joselete de Linares, Samuel Serrano, Manuel de la Tomasa, La Nitra, Javier Montenegro o Luis Perdiguero, entre otros.

Like every year, within the collaboration that the UGR and the Corrala de Santiago maintain with the International Guitar Festival, a flamenco guitar concert is scheduled in the courtyard, which this year will be run by Israel Gomez.
His father, master Jorge Gómez, started him at the age of nine in the Flamenco guitar studies, At 15 he received the first prize of the Granada Young Performers Contest, and at 16 the second prize at the national level of the Flamenca Group of Jaén. It is a guitarist who has, among others, the first prize at the national level of the Flamenco Guitar Contest of Seville, and has accompanied the singing to artists of the size of Joselete de Linares, Samuel Serrano, Manuel de la Tomasa, L Nitra, Javier Montenegro or Luis Loser, among others.

El próximo Lunes 18 de Julio estaremos en uno de los eventos musicales más importante de España, el VI Festival Internacional de la Guitarra de Granada. Ofreceré un concierto muy especial este año que celebramos el centenario del primer festival de Cante Jondo de la historia que se desarrolló en la ciudad de la Alhambra en 1922. Os espero a las 22:00 h. en la Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
