Fernando Soto Valencia was born in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz) in a family environment where culture and art were breathed, so much so that being a singer or bullfighter seemed the most normal, so much so that “greats” like Rafael de Paula or Pitingo they share blood ties with Fernando.
Fernando Soto began singing sevillanas at age 10 at the festivals in his hometown, Jerez, along with his group of friends. From here he went on to sing flamenco solo, performing at private parties, making himself known in an environment of people who understood and valued this musical style.
He confesses himself a follower and admirer of the great Lola Flores, to whom he has come to dedicate his latest musical show.
Fernando Soto has been on stage for more than 20 years. He alternates records with the preparation and performance of his own musical shows, where he confesses, “imagines and takes care of everything”. This is how, for example, “Flamenco Couplé” or “La Niña de la Venta” arose, an impressive tribute to Lola Flores , which premiered last year at the Teatro de La Latina in Madrid.
He has varied and unconditional followers, although Fernando assures that “at first my audience was very knowledgeable about flamenco, highly specialized in this style, although the years and evolution have led to the incorporation of many new followers, from young children to young girls. their grandmothers, so much so that parents, children and grandparents come to see me together !! ”, he exclaims.
