FlamenGi, Festival Flamenc de Girona offers events throughout the month of November at various intimate locations around the city. The Flamenco Festival has been a significant highlight in the Girona dance calendar for years, interrupted only by the pandemic. This exciting event has been added to their calendar in October featuring the important and skilled singer/cantaor Arcángel on 12/Oct. Additional shows feature the extraordinary dancer/bailaor and singer Andrés Marín & Alfredo Lagos, 8/Nov.; singer/cantaora Montse Cortés, 10/Nov.; Antonio Canales, Karime Amaya & Flamencs de la Terra 15/Nov.; the important Tablao de Carmen, 16/Nov.; La Tremendita, 16/Nov.; Josemi Carmona & Soleá Morente, 17/Nov.; Carles Benavent Trío & Tomasito, 22/Nov.; Laura Santos, 23/Nov. at the La Gerundina – Penya Flamenca de Girona; Chicuelo, 29/Nov.
Known as the ‘City of the Four Rivers’, Girona’s historic location is dominated by medieval buildings with Roman, Arab and Hebrew influences. The province of Girona is located in the northeastern corner of Spain within the region of Catalonia. Bordering France and the Pyrenees Mountains to the north. Girona is also well known for its many beach towns along the Mediterranean Sea. Just to the south of Girona lies the city of Barcelona, the capital of the autonomous region of Catalonia.
