Oslo International Flamenco Festival and Tilde Filmklubb present “El Rey de Todo el Mundo” (2021), the latest collaboration between Spanish director Carlos Saura (Raise Ravens, Carmen, Tango) and Italian cinematographer Vittorio Storaro (Apocalypse Now, The Last Emperor).
Two masters in full control of their craft.
“The King of All the World” captures Saura’s lifelong rush of joy at artistic performance rather than finished art. All kinds of music – be it folklore, traditional or modern – from Mexico and from other parts of Latin America were fused together to make a strong musical confluence beautifully captured by Storaro´s precise camera.
