2024 Spirit and Junior Spirit of Fiesta Chosen in Santa Barbara!

The Spirit and Junior Spirit of Fiesta represent the charm, beauty and the culture of Old Spanish Days in the beautiful coastal city of Santa Barbara, California.

Pictured here on right, Santa Barbara’s Old Spanish Days Centennial year (1924-2024), the 2024 Spirit of Fiesta Georgey Taupin, and 2024 Junior Spirit Aleenah Soriano chosen from over 20 finalists as winners in their categories. Both young women are from the Zermeño Dance Academy in Goleta, California with director and choreographer Daniela Zermeño Sanchez.

With the historic Lobero Theatre in the background, Old Spanish Days unveiled the 2024 Fiesta theme for the exciting 100th Anniversary of our community’s beloved festival: Viva el Centenario

“The 100th year of Fiesta is going to be big,” said 2024 El Presidente Brian Schwabecher in making the announcement. “We are focused truly on collaboration for our community events. The announcement of the theme of Fiesta’s 100th Anniversary is an exciting moment for our community.
