Gypsies on Radio 5 * The story of the Roma people comes to the cinemas

RNE Radio reviews the films ‘The Great Gypsy Raid: History of a Genocide’ by Pilar Távora, and ‘Pendaripen’ by Alfonso Sánchez, which has just premiered at the Valladolid International Film Festival (SEMINCI).

We also listen to an excerpt from the moving documentary “Flowers for Antonio,” in which Alba Flores delves into her family history.

And in “The Gypsies Who Don’t Say Ole,” the Hungarian Romani violinist Roby Lakatos performs very cinematic music…
