El nombre de Cristina Hoyos resuena en los teatros más grandes del mundo, pero su leyenda se forjó paso a paso, con arte y compás. Su presencia en Lorca es un acontecimiento histórico, y queremos celebrarlo repasando una trayectoria que ha definido el flamenco contemporáneo.

La bailarina y coreógrafa Cristina Hoyos (Sevilla, 1946), ganadora del Premio Nacional de Danza y fundadora del Museo de la Danza Flamenca de Sevilla, será la madrina del XXXIV Festival Internacional de Flamenco Ciudad del Sol, que se celebrará los días 8 y 9 de noviembre en el Auditorio Margarita Lozano de Lorca, Murcia. La artista también impartirá una conferencia en la Casa del Artesano, donde compartirá su experiencia y visión del arte jondo.

She is an icon. She is the living history of dance. She is our Honorary Godmother of the XXXIV International Festival of Cante Flamenco ‘City of the Sun’ in Murcia

Cristina Hoyos‘s name resonates in the world’s greatest theaters, but her legend was forged step by step, with artistry and rhythm. Her presence in Lorca is a historic event, and we want to celebrate it by reviewing a career that has defined contemporary flamenco.

The dancer and choreographer Cristina Hoyos (Seville, 1946), National Dance Prize winner and founder of Dance Museum Flamenco of Sevilla, will be the godmother of XXXIV International Festival of Flamenco City of the Sun, which is celebrated on November 8th and 9th in the Margarita Lozano Auditorium from Lorca, Murcia. The artist will also give a lecture at the Craftsman’s House where she will share her experience and vision of art jondo.
