Ballet Flamenco de Cádiz presenta ‘Acuarela con sal’ (Watercolor with salt)- 29 Festival de Jerez – vídeo
The young company created in Cádiz with artistic project of directors/choreographers Pilar Ogalla and Andrés Peña presented Acuarela con sal (Watercolor with salt), the first show of this promising company.
The Ballet Flamenco de Cádiz has shown a very wide repertoire of styles and a well-planned aesthetic execution, and as befits ballets, with space for great choral choreographies and for solo performances, starring Juan Ogalla, Juan José Jaén ‘El Junco’ and Andrés Peña. The presentation of the alegrías was a declaration of intent of the essence of this purely Cadiz ballet, followed by a farruca danced by Juan Ogalla, a style carried by the islander Sara Baras, who connected this style from the northwest of Spain with San Fernando in a very special way. Andrés Peña has once again shown that he is at the top of Jerez dance, with a classic style full of expressiveness. Francisco Manuel Lucas was responsible for providing guitar and musical direction to this work, both carried out with great success, providing fluidity and a unitary and compact structure that have given solidity to the show. — Translated from: {https://www.diariodejerez.es/jerez/color-expresion-salinidad-ballet-flamenco_0_2003481870.html}
