Presented by America’s Leading Guitar Concert Series, “Echoes of Andalusia” showcases Adam del Monte at his finest — standing at the crossroads of classical and flamenco guitar, blending centuries-old traditions with a distinctly modern language.
In this solo recital, Adam performs music by Albéniz alongside his own compositions, including “Cádiz,” which he also recorded in the GSI showroom (see video below). His program features both classical elegance and flamenco fire — a true dialogue between two traditions.

About the Artist
Adam del Monte is recognized internationally for his work bridging the flamenco and classical worlds. He has recorded for Deutsche Grammophon, performed in the double GRAMMY®–winning opera Ainadamar with Dawn Upshaw and the Atlanta Symphony, and appeared at venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Barbican Centre.
His 2025 flamenco opera Llantos 1492 premiered to sold-out audiences, marking a new step in the integration of flamenco and classical composition. Del Monte has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Moscow State Symphony, and Enrique Morente, and contributed to film scores including Munich, Toy Story 3, and Knight and Day.
Adam del Monte is one of the leading flamenco and classical guitarists and composers of his generation.
He was born in Israel but grew up in The Netherlands, Spain, Germany and England several times over. He was immersed in a family culture where music and art were the order of the day. His exposure to a diverse variety of musical styles ranging from flamenco, classical, jazz, blues, Indian etc., were the cornerstone of his upbringing.
In his early childhood, he grew up in the caves of Sacromonte among the gypsies in Granada, Spain learning the art of flamenco the traditionally way of being passed on orally and was fortuitous to learn from some of the true maestros of Spain: Pepe Habichuela, Paco Cortes and Gerardo Nuñez.
He teaches at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music.
