El Festival que ha ido creciendo con el paso del tiempo. En sus inicios comenzó celebrándose en una céntrica plaza ferreña y tan solo 4 años después ya se trasladaba a un recinto al aire libre con capacidad para 2000 personas.
The Peña Flamenca Melón de Oro, which earned its name in honour of the area’s typical agricultural product, is the organiser of the Festival, which cultivates and cares for it with all its might, year after year.
El “Festival Internacional de Cante Flamenco de Lo Ferro” va acompañado y arropado por Actividades Paralelas que complementan al concurso. Se celebran mesas redondas y exposiciones, que giran siempre alrededor del arte del flamenco.
Junto a sus ediciones de “Escuelas Flamencas”, cuyas señas de identidad han sido las de servir de escaparate para las jóvenes promesas del flamenco.
Además cuenta con su propio cuerpo de baile: El Ballet de Lo Ferro, que ofrece un asombroso espectáculo de luz y color combinado con el armonioso movimiento que acompaña al flamenco.
El empeño de su fundador Sebastián Escudero, luchando por sacar adelante un sueño, hacen que el “Festival Internacional de Cante Flamenco de Lo Ferro” perdure en el tiempo y en la memoria, de cada uno de los amantes de este arte llamado flamenco.

The Festival has grown over time. It was initially held in a central square in Lo Ferro and just 4 years later it moved to an open-air venue with capacity for 2000 people.
The Peña Flamenca Melón de Oro, which earned its name in honor of the area’s typical agricultural product, is the organizer of the Festival, which cultivates and cares for it with all its might, year after year.
The “Lo Ferro International Flamenco Singing Festival” is accompanied and supported by Parallel Activities that complement the competition. Round tables and exhibitions are held, which always revolve around the art of flamenco.
Along with its editions of “Flamenco Schools”, whose hallmarks have been to serve as a showcase for the young promises of flamenco.
It also has its own dance troupe: The Ballet of Lo Ferro, which offers an amazing spectacle of light and color combined with the harmonious movement that accompanies flamenco.
The determination of its founder, Sebastián Escudero, to carry out a dream, makes the “Lo Ferro International Flamenco Singing Festival” endure in time and in the memory of each and every lover of this art called flamenco.
