María Fernández Benítez, better known as María Terremoto, was born in Jerez de la Frontera in 2000. She is part of a famous family of flamenco artists; her grandfather was Fernando Fernández Monge “Terremoto de Jerez” and her father is singer Fernando Fernández Pantoja “Terremoto.”

Born into one of the most important gypsy families “The Mendez”, “La Paquera de Jerez” was known as the quintessential power-house flamenco singer of all time. Jesus, has inherited many of those traits. His career began at the age of seventeen debuting in 2002 at the prestigious Flamenco Cultural Association D. Antonio Chacon de Jerez, the young singer has not stopped since.
