Drawing from Cervantes’ beloved literary masterpiece, this vibrant production brings together dazzling artistry, captivating characters, and an enchanting tale of love that radiates joy from every turn.

In Don Quixote, based on Cervantes’ novel, the San Francisco ballet combines Spanish-inspired choreography, flamenco, and theatrical staging to bring the story of chivalric knights, love, and adventure to the stage.

Don Quixote is a ballet adaptation of Cervantes’ classic novel, featuring choreography by Helgi Tomasson and Yuri Possokhov. The production presents a range of scenes, including chivalric knights, Barcelona beaches, and the adventures of Don Quixote, combining classical ballet technique with Spanish-inspired movement.

The program highlights narrative storytelling, ensemble work, and technical virtuosity, offering audiences an example of the traditions and style that have shaped the ballet repertoire.

Enjoy flamenco dancing in the Opera House lobby before evening performances by Theatre Flamenco of San Francisco featuring Carola Zertuche, guitarist, and singer. Dancing begins 30 minutes prior to the performance.
