About Inés Rubio
Inés Rubio, born in Reus (Tarragona) in 1983, began her journey in flamenco with the Jerez-born dancer Jaime Cala, her first teacher. Years later she moved to Barcelona to further her training at the La Tani flamenco school and with dancer José Manuel Álvarez.
In 2010 she settled in Seville to deepen her knowledge of flamenco and continue training with figures such as Farruquito, Juana Amaya and Eva Yerbabuena, among others.
Inés has danced in some of Spain’s most prestigious tablaos, including Tablao Flamenco Cordobés, Corral de la Morería, Flamenco de Leones, Tablao Los Gallos, Tablao Villa-Rosa and Tablao El Arenal.
In addition, she was part of the show “La Cumbre del Baile”, sharing the bill with artists such as Jesús Carmona and Farruquito. She also accompanied maestro Enrique El Extremeño in the show “Por la verea”, presented at various peñas flamencas across Spain.
As a creator, she has produced and choreographed her own shows, including “6 Tacones”, “Saroche”, “Navidad Flamenca” and “De la Tierra”, which premiered at the Sona Flamenc festival in Tarragona.
In 2024 she appeared as a guest artist in “Toda una vida” by Enrique El Extremeño, which premiered at the Seville Flamenco Biennial. She currently combines performing and teaching in tablaos with founding and directing the Compañía Flamenca de Tarragona, through which she promotes the visibility of emerging artists.
In 2025, Inés premiered the show “Florecer” at the Ciutat Flamenco Festival in Barcelona to a sold-out audience. She has also released several shows in the province of Tarragona sharing the stage with artists such as Marina Heredia, El Pele, Jesús Carmona, Antonio Canales, among others.
