Camarón: Flamenco y Revolución, a new documentary about the singular flamenco singer Camarón de la Isla, has its Netflix premiere today (July 18). The doc is titled Camerón: The Film in the U.S.

The documentary was directed by Alexis Morante, known to Latin rock fans for his Latin Grammy-winning video work for the Spanish artist Bunbury. Curro Sánchez, the son of Paco de Lucia, who previously delivered a personal documentary tribute to the great flamenco guitarist (La Busqueda), served as a producer on this new Spanish-language documentary. It was produced by Spain’s Canal Sur, Mediaevents and Lolita Films in partnership with Netflix and Universal.
